【摘要】:Thesetestmethodsareusedtoindicatetheintegrityofthecontainerandclosuresysteminthedistributionenvironment.Thesetestmethodsmeasuretheabilityofthecontainerandclosuresystemtopreventleakagewhenstoredortransportedupright,inverted,orontheside.Thesetestmethodsallowforcomparisonofcontainer/closuredesignsofthreadedandlug-styleclosuresofsimilarordifferentmaterials,ordifferentmanufacturers.Thesetestsaresuitableforpackagingdevelopment,engineeringandtoolingevaluations.1.1Thesetestmethodsmaydemonstratecontainer/closureintegritywiththreadedorlug-styleclosuresbythedeterminationofgrossleaksinrigidandsemi-rigidcontainers(upto4L[1.06g]).Suchtestsmaybeusedtoindicatetheabilityofaliquidcontainertosurvivethedistributionenvironmentwithoutleaking.Thesetestmethodsmaynotbesuitabletodeterminetheleakresistanceofcontainersintendedfortransportofhazardousmaterials.1.2TestMethods:1.2.1TestMethodA,ShippingContainerVibrationandStorageTest,coverstheabilityofashippingcontaineranditsinteriorpackagingtoprotectthecontentsfromleakageaftertransportationinducedvibrationandhigh-temperaturestorage.1.2.2TestMethodB,ShippingContainerVibrationandVacuumChamberTest,issuitableforindividualcontainersandisusuallylessseverethanTestMethodA.TheadvantageofTestMethodBistheshortnessofthetest.1.3ThevaluesstatedineitherSIunitsorinch-poundunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemmaynotbeexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemshallbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnon-conformancewiththestandard.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressthesafetyconsernsassociatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
