【摘要】:Identificationofabrackishwater,seawater,orbrineisdeterminedbycomparisonoftheconcentrationsoftheirdissolvedconstituents.Theresultsareusedtoevaluatetheoriginofthewater,determineifitisapossiblepollutant,orifitisrelatedtoapotentialsourceofavaluablemineral.Forexample,ingeochemicalstudiessomecorrelationdataindicatethatfluorideisanindirectindicatorofthepresenceoflithium.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofsolublefluorideionsinbrackishwater,seawaterandbrinesbyuseofafluorideselectiveelectrode.1.2Samplescontainingfrom1.0to25mg/Lcanbeanalyzedbythistestmethod.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
