【摘要】:Thesetestmethodscoverthedeterminationofbarium,calcium,phosphorus,sulfur,andzincinunusedlubricatingoilsatelementconcentrationrangesshownin.Therangecanbeextendedtohigherconcentrationsbydilutionofsamplespecimens.Additivescanalsobedeterminedafterdilution.Twodifferentmethodsarepresentedinthesetestmethods.TestMethodA(InternalStandardProcedure)InternalstandardsareusedtocompensateforinterelementeffectsofX-rayexcitationandfluorescence(seeSectionsthrough).TestMethodB(MathematicalCorrectionProcedure)ThemeasuredX-rayfluorescenceintensityforagivenelementismathematicallycorrectedforpotentialinterferencefromotherelementspresentinthesample(seeSectionsthrough).Thepreferredconcentrationunitsaremass%barium,calcium,phosphorus,sulfur,orzinc.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
